Before I got my Bonafide, I was torn between that and the Nucanoe. Without backing plates, do you think the Boonedox mounting will hold up? I liked the swivel seat, but it didn't come with stainless bearing plate, so I'm sure it wouldn't have lasted to long in the salt. Look forward to seeing the rest of the rigging when you get to it.
Sailor, I installed the backing plates on the Boonedox. I fished them up by removing the rear rod holders. It's a rock solid install. I have already tried a mod to make this a swivel using the 20 dollar plastic Bass Pro swivel mount. It worked like a charm and was also rock solid. I went back to the original seat config because I didn't feel the extra height and swivel was worth that much to me.
If you haven't had them on other boats, you'll really like the track system. There are so many options for mounting rod holders, camera mounts, tie downs, etc. You can even add some additional ones on the gunnels if you want. They have flush mounting ones that don't snag lines, etc.

The track system is great and God knows that I have accumulated enough attachments to festoon a frigate. But I'm trying to keep it simple. It takes self control. Today will be anchoring and paddle holder day.
