What better way to socially distance yourself from humanity than to go fishing? So that's what we did and the waters tested positive.
When we arrived at Flamingo there were still some stragglers from the race preparing for their final leg. I chatted with them and wished them luck.
Once we reached our spots we found ourselves in sight fishing heaven. Ulysses guided us to numerous Trout, Reds, Snook and Black Drum. Even though the wind was up we had plenty of sun and Ulysses was spotting fish for me and directing my casts. We make a great team and a deadly combination. I believe both of us slammed three times with Black Drum thrown in for good measure.
This was a short day for us and we returned to Flamingo in the early afternoon. Surprisingly we observed what looked to be the same racers still departing the area. I believe they may have had some initial trouble and were heading out a second time. Anyway it was a beautiful day and the fishing was infectious.

Nice. Got out on Sunday, but I was local (Weeki Wachee area) ...saw fish early but only had one strike (missed) on fly. Got a couple small trout on spinner later. Tides were wrong (almost dead low at first light) so I am hoping next week proves more fruitful.
