Sandy, me and Fishwife are hoping everything goes your way. It sounds like you have a good team of docs on your side now. Let us know if you need anything. Marie and I are fully on board with what Steve said. Nothing would make us happier that to be able to kayak and fish with you again

Its still an uphill battle.. I have to be accepted as a viable candidate or the result may not be good.

Medicare approved... 2 hour consultation with nurse and signed off papers, tomorrow I go into Memorial Hosp. for 2 test, then Friday back again for full monty they will take me in and keep me at least untill Tuesday and run everything they have... likely come home with a wearable IV pump with stronger meds that the oral ones I am currently on.
After that they will decide, if yes list me on national database, perhaps a temp VAD pump which is a 2-3 week stay in hospital full on open heart surgery, and hopefully a transplant before my 70th bday at which point they de-list a person.
I'm very concerned there will not be time with that 70th b-day cutoff in December.

Hi all... I may or may not have access to the computer for the next few days but will update you's when I can.
There is no post on FaceBook about my new/downgraded heath issues and I would like to keep it that way, so please do not post information about it on FB, or FB like, broadcast sites.

Just got home form hospital a little bit ago... was supposed to get out yesterday at 6Pm but due to staff stoopidity there was a clerical mixup that cost Medicare another full night for me to stay in hotel Memorial.
Basically all test that the Cardiac Specialty team wanted to be done before taking me as a paitent were done, every inaginable blood test 42 vials in one sitting, couple catehrizations, most every image Ultra or Echo sound, and several Cat Sacns, plus all my teeth removed all in 7 days and long nights.
I do no know what the next step will be.
I came home with a new medication DoDuTamine as a continuous infusion vai pick-line in my arm to the heart, via a pump I carry around in my new man purse.

Glad to hear from you, Sandy. That's a lot to go through but you're a tough old bird. Stay focused and follow the doctor's orders. And look on the bright side. Now that you have a man purse you can get some man rompers to complete the ensemble.

You want to try something fun.. try a liquid diet and gain weight at the same time... for the first few days it was clear liquid only.
My daughter just bought me a fance new blender, Ninja Professonial.
I can have soft foods so long as no chewing is required, NO STRAWS allowed, can drink from cup/bowl or use a spoon so long as the food has a consistency where I can scoop and put spoon in mouth upside down and lick from spoon with tounge.
Suggestions will be considered.

Yogurt, Honey, Jam but I'd steer clear of Peanut Butter. You can make veggy smoothies and the like. I know if it was me I'd be tossing cheese burgers in the blender.

Fish-nuts is right. You can puree anything, if it is too thick to puree add in either what ever gravy goes with it, or boiling water. If it is too thin you can get a dietary thickener at walmart and add a little of that in with blender running to get the right consistency.

You are a tough ole bird my friend. That is enough to feel like you have been abducted by aliens and are being experimented on. pete has a good point, you can get very creative with the blender for some tasty meals. Nutrition is key as you have to remain strong.
