I am back from the other side again.. long couple days. The surgery was just over 5 hours long, then I had to lay perfectly still flat on my back for 6 hours on a stretcher bed, So I did not even get to a hospital bed until 11pm and then was not allowed to sit up or get up... next day was allowed to move but spent the day in the hospital.
Doctor said the ablated a lot of stuff and hopes it will prevent what was causing the exents that were triggering the defib... time will tell. On light duty, can't lift anything heavier than 10 pounds or drive for 4 days.
Thats some operation 5 hours with probes inserted into veins on both sides of my groin, with the doctor poking around the inside of your heart watching video screens to see what hes poking.. he punched a small hole in the heart to get from one chamber to another...

Wait where is krash, you guessed it in the hospital again.
Another episode, this one no shock but BP went thru the roof to 130's/110's which would ne normal for most but is way high for me.. 911. ambo ride, been here since saturday night.. no more real symptoms till today.. Now my doctos are involved, hoospital suck unless you really have an emergency situation.
Thenn after the doctors saw me, had medtronics come, verified no rythm so no shock.. and they hage went away to confer andguess.
Then it happened, I got out the bed, went to the bathroom. and whil just standing wsahing my hands had that weird feeling, and almost instant Whack, Whack shocked twice in a row a few seconds apart. The called medtronics again to pull the data and verified I had an arythma event that caused the shock, the first one did not break the rythm just caused it to incrased and shocked me again.... , made some Medtronics back again and reprorammed made some change to the treatment side befroe shock...
I just got my computer here in the hospital and will be catching up util they take it away

OK back on the right side again, still a little dazed and confused (normal), what a week... docs changed a couple meds, deleted a couple and hopefully will soon have this VTAC condition under control.
Down and out for a few week's on physical restrictions. But a good night sleep in your own bed is very nice.

I'm glad to hear this, Sandy. Let me know when you're up for a dawn patrol. Maybe we can do a local trip together.

I'd love to Steve and Thanks for the offer.. not sure when/if I will be ready any time soon, time will tell. This last week seems to have taken a lot out of me, lost a few more steps, but I'm hopeful.

Still have a weird feeling a lot of the time, feel like I'm on a fine line waiting to fall off in either direction any time., plus hollow, weak, out of breath easily. I've been having severe indigestion for a week or so. Went to electro-phisiologist yeaterday still seeing some short vtac instances, I sometimes feel and sometimes do not, but nothing that required treatment since leaving the hospital. He said see my primary about the indigestion. Today wennt to primary, post hospital f/u. Complained about the indigestion, he said teh Mexitel drug is known for causing it.. he said try taking Zantac 150 in the morning before eating anything for 2 weeks.. we'll see time will tell.
I told the Primary I think I have some sort fo PTSD now. We have been having some serious lightning storms lately and when they rool thru everytime I see a lightning strike I feel like my defib is about or just fired off and shocked me, fortunately it does not.

Yes home again.. this was a different kind of issue not related to rythm out of control, again similar to the one a few weeks ago non shocking.. off to the cardiac doctor today.

Well glad you are home but it sucks to have to deal with all you have been going through lately. Surely they will fine tune and you can get back to a more normal routine.

Thx Viv... todays f/u doc, cardioligist, visit it was explained probably likely to the drastic change in meds a week or so ago, doc said he'd tweak the meds but not this soon as in his opinion this med schedule is saving my life... so under those terms I'll give it a couple more weeks.

Well, not much you can do but go along for the ride and wait until the brew is tweaked. Wishing this would go well soon.
