I have no dog in this race, and do not have one of these rods... but on our little all knowing fishing site found this to be of interest... it was posted on FB by a reputable fisher-person..

I preordered an Edge Rods by Gary Loomis last Oct & recieved it in Dec slightly damaged, most likely from shipping but found out they deliver them with white markings they call "normal" for bare carbon blanks. I said return my money or send one without white markings. It took a couple months for them to deal with that but I did eventually get one with almost no white marks. Unknowingly at the time, I ordered three more rods a couple weeks later in Dec. I just got two of them a few weeks ago & never received the fourth. Its August. After catching a tarpon & big bass on the initial rod, I noticed my brand new FINS braid was getting shredded. It looked familiar with cracked or chipped guide rings but this rod is new? So I spooled it up again with new line & it kept snapping off or fraying. I checked my guides & the first rod has three deep cuts in a guide ring from the braid. Another rod which I hardly use because I recently got it & it's a much lighter rod for smaller fish. It has several guide rings that are disintegrating, not even from line burn. The entire process from the beginning has been a run around & blatant lies by Kristen, which replies to [email protected] when she gets to it. The white markings was a reply from one of their rod builders Jason, which never did a single thing he said right after the initial phone call. I have so many emails, most ending with a line to keep you waiting & no resolution but get a refund or wait. After months of this, I started to see humor & wanted to see how long it would actually take. Still waiting... no more! After a few emails requesting a full refund for all three rods & the fourth I never got (all paid in full in Dec) after seeing how poorly the products are, their lack of customer service & the list goes on, with no reply after nearly TWO weeks. My next email will be to the Better Business Bureau, I'm done being ignored & taken advantage of. And not one of my emails were rude, most were just trying to get an update on my order. Why would you use cheap guide rings on titanium bridges? Something super fishy here! Please share to all your fishing friends.
