I just wrote a reply and it has disappeared. So, in a nutshell: So glad you are going to finally join us here at Chokoloskee.
Lures that have worked lately- shad tails with the elastech product a good choice tomorrow with a 1/8 oz head due to low tides in morning. I like the pearl color in the strike king redfish magic. The saltwater assasin shad in space guppy has been working well lately. Bring a 1/4 oz head for the higher phases. Topwater in morning has been fun for trout and snook. Bring a 1/2 oz gold spoon and a catch jr with black back.
See you in the morning
Love many, trust few and always paddle your own canoe.
Full tank of gas, tackle box updated for Choko, car loaded with seat, paddle, anchor, new-hat, lines attache for bow/stern and over the center tie-down's... set the alarm.. see ya'll tomorrow by sunrise.

Old fugger with a bad heart, who just wants to fish
It was a pretty morning, unfortunately I was not feeling the best from my night before sickness. No fish, but great to see everyone that made it. Thanks again to Pete , Marie, Vivian, and Connie for providing food and sleeping arrangements. Hope to do that again soon.
Sailor was good to see you, sorry to hear you were not feeling well and too bad you could not hang around for a while... FH good to see you, even though you live only 10 minutes away.
It was a nice day out on the water, and thanks Pete and Marie for the hospitality, chips, and salsa. Good to see Vivian & Connie would like ot have seen the rest of Irma but wanted to hit the road before that storm hit, it was not a bad drive back kind of lucked out and skirted the bad parts of the storm, it did catch up with me here at home but not til after I cleaned up the kayak, gear, and myself.
I put the Native in the water for my first paddle on her, she works well, figured out a couple things and find the seat very noisy. I did slime her up a bit with a couple Trouts, a Snooklet, and a Snapper I mis-identified as a Mangrove Snapper but Pete quickly pointed out since I was not near a Mangrove tree is was a rare Oyster bar Gray Snapper.
