Ok so some would say wrapping is taboo... but others say different.
Generally using Aluminum Foil.. what proper shinny side out or shinny side in ?

Found this after several folks saying it does not matter .....
The reflective surface will reflect heat and the matte side will reflect less heat . If you're baking or defrosting, the matte side will absorb more radiant heat and reflect less infrared heat while the shiny side will reflect more of both, so it makes more sense to bake and defrost with the matte side facing up. Conversely, during freezing, it makes more sense to reverse the sides as the shiny side face up would reflect heat away from the food.
But I bet it won't really amount to a big difference one way or the other.

Did you know that when you order a baked potato at your favorite steak restaurant that the potato is actually boiled? They wrap the potato in gold foil shiny side in and simmer them in giant pots so they are ready when your steak is done.
